Introduction to Citation Management Tools UTSA Libraries – Faculty Services

The workshop will introduce you to citation management tools, including Endnote, Mendeley, JabRef, and Zotero.  We will discuss how the plusses and minuses of each tool, how to choose one depending on your preferences, and how to install them on your workstation.  We will go over how to import references into the software.  We will show how to share, export, and import reference libraries.  We will show how to use them in Microsoft Word.

Librarian

Jeff McAdams is the Science and Engineering Librarian at UTSA.  He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Kansas and his Masters of Library Science from Emporia State University.  He has been at UTSA for over 6 years as a research services librarian, and has been helping faculty, researchers, and graduate students use Endnote since it was officially licensed by the Graduate School almost 4 years ago.
