This workshop will answer common questions posed by researchers who use human subjects as a way to assist faculty in planning their research protocols and navigating the IRB review process.

Assist Vice President for Research Integrity

Dr. Mickey Stevenson is responsible for the overall management and leadership in research ethics at UTSA. More specifically, she oversees the Office of Research Integrity which includes human research protections, laboratory animal care and use, export controls, the committee on conflict of interest in research and intellectual property (CCOI), misconduct in science and scholarship procedures, research data ownership and retention, and other research ethics topics.

Dr. Stevenson is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) who earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina State University. She joined UTSA in August 2010 after having worked at the University of Texas System Office of Research and Technology Transfer. Prior to moving to Texas, Dr. Stevenson was an assistant professor of adult development and aging at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
