SUMMARY:New Faculty Institute (Research): Broader Impacts & Project Evaluation – Downtown Campus
DESCRIPTION:Many funding agencies want to know how the research they support will impact society\, and how PIs plan to evaluate the outcomes of their projects. Participants will learn how to navigate the outreach and evaluation criterion for grant proposals\, to plan activities that increase the influence of their research\, and to engage programs already occurring at UTSA that impact the broader public. \nRegister for this workshopPresented By:Lucy DeckardPresident of Academic Research Funding Strategies\, LLCLucy Deckard is the President of Academic Research Funding Strategies\, LLC\, a consulting firm she founded in 2010 that provides services to help academic institutions\, faculty and staff develop the expertise in-house to identify funding opportunities\, understand funding agencies\, and develop successful research grant proposals. Previously\, Ms. Deckard served as Associate Director of the Texas A&M University’s Office of Proposal Development.
