DESCRIPTION:Join us as we bring together a panel of accessibility-minded representatives to explore best practices in course design and universal-design for learning during finals. Come hungry for knowledge and a sweet treat\, and leave equipped with the tools to enhance your teaching with universal design for learning in mind as you discover innovative strategies and practical tips to ensure a level playing field for all learners\, empowering both faculty and students to thrive during the finals season. Donuts will be provided. \nBy attending this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n• Understand the fundamental principles of universal design for learning in course design and teaching\, enabling faculty to create an inclusive learning environment for all students\, especially during the finals period.\n• Learn practical strategies and best practices for implementing UDL features and accommodations in course materials\, assessments\, and teaching methods\, equipping faculty with the tools to support diverse learners effectively.\n• Identify and address common challenges related to accessibility and UDL in the context of finals support\, allowing faculty to proactively adapt their teaching methods and materials to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity for success during this critical period. \nCreating an effective learning environment for all is important to us. SUMMARY:External Program/Project Evaluation for Education\, health\, and Social Services
DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides a fundamental understanding of the purposes\, processes and expectations for evaluations of health\, education and social services project grants. Participants will understand how to structure the assessment part of a proposal to include the determination of measurable objectives and the development of tools (e.g.\, logic models\, Gantt charts) to guide proposal development to that needs/problems align with objectives and result in excellent\, well-designed evaluations.
