SUMMARY:
DESCRIPTION:A new exhibit\, “Cultural Bounty: The Beckstead • Lerma • Annala Collection\,” is a showpiece of the UTSA Art Collection. It features 48 artistic pieces from internationally renowned artists such as Andy Warhol and Robert Mapplethorpe and emerging local and Texas artists such as Sara Vanderbeek\, Fernando Andrade\, and UTSA alum Richard Armendariz (’95). The exhibit will run from Thursday\, August 1\, to Saturday\, November 2\, 2024\, at the UTSA Southwest Campus Russell Hill Rogers Galleries. \nCultural Bounty offers visitors a chance to experience a diverse array of powerful artistic expressions. Among the highlights are iconic creations such as “Electric Chair” and “Witch” by Warhol and a single-color photo “Ken Moody\, (Nude with Leaf) by Mapplethorpe. In addition to these illustrious names\, the exhibit will spotlight works created in San Antonio’s vibrant arts community. The exhibit will include works from Texas artists such as Raul Rene Gonzalez’s “O’Banion’s Car Wash” a pen on paper\, Andrade’s stone lithograph “A Jugar La Pinche Guerrita\,” Armendariz’s wood block print “Nocturne Healer I” Abraham Mojica’s “No Regrets” an acrylic on canvas\, painting of the three donors\, “Steve\, Danny\, and Alan.” \nPresented by UTSA Arts in partnership with the UTSA Libraries and the UTSA School of Art. \nRegister for the Opening ReceptionView the exhibit page

LabArchives and their notebook software interface is securely accessible via the internet from anywhere in the world using a web browser on any device.
