DESCRIPTION:This fall 2021 Willie Schaefer will lead the Adobe Institute. In each 45-minute session participants will be introduced to applications included in Adobe Creative Cloud\, a tool that is free for all UTSA faculty\, staff\, and students. Attendees will be able to complete short projects that will give them the opportunity to produce artifacts that they can showcase. Participants may attend the sessions synchronously on Zoom or asynchronously on Panopto. Those who complete all projects and upload their work into Portfolio will receive a certificate of completion from Adobe. Enrolling in the September 7 class date will confirm enrollment in the entire institute. Participants attending the sessions synchronously will attend every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am September 7 through September 30. DESCRIPTION:Flexible Teaching is an approach to course design and delivery that helps students learn and succeed in any mode: face-to-face\, online\, or hybrid. To ease the transition to an online start to the Spring semester\, a panel of faculty will share their lessons learned from Fall 2021 and how they adjusted their course design strategy and teaching practices to focus on improving the student’s learning experience\, enhance communication\, and create empathy with their students. Panel Format: Online via Zoom. The panel will be one hour long.
