SUMMARY:Data Wrangling Using OpenRefine
DESCRIPTION:When compiling data from various sources or creating a dataset\, we often need help with errors in the data or inconsistent format\, which can be critical to data analysis. This workshop will teach you how to explore\, clean\, and transform your data and reproduce the steps you have taken using OpenRefine. OpenRefine is a powerful open-source tool for working with messy data that does not require coding. You are required to install OpenRefine before attending the workshop. \nRegister for this event

SUMMARY:Text Analysis Using Voyant Tools
DESCRIPTION:Advances in natural language processing and computational linguistics have fueled a growing interest in analyzing text as data in the humanities and social sciences. This workshop will provide some basics of text analysis and introduce the underlying structure of Voyant Tools and its user interface. Voyant Tools is a web-based text reading and analysis application. We will work with a corpus using file uploads\, URLs\, or an existing Voyant corpus to explore different analysis methods. No coding is required. \nRegister for this event
