DESCRIPTION:Join the Department of Environmental Science and Ecology and the Department of Geological Sciences for the first UTSA Earth Symposium consisting of oral and poster presentations organized in a virtual environment. \n\n\n\n \n\nFour sessions are lined up: \nSession 1: Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation \nWe invite contributions that consider the interactions between living organisms and their environment\, the effects of global change on populations\, communities\, and ecosystems\, and the conservation of biodiversity. \nSession 2: Challenges and Opportunities in Water Resources and Management \nWe invite contributions that look at any issue related to water resource science and management\, including surface and groundwater hydrology and water quality\, water and its role in ecosystem and public health\, water availability\, watershed and river processes\, aquatic and riparian habitat formation\, and conservation and management of aquatic and riparian biotic communities. \nSession 3: The Changing Face of the Earth in the Context of Climate Change \nWe invite contributions at how interactions between the lithosphere\, atmosphere\, hydrosphere\, and cryosphere can be modified by ongoing climate change\, as well as lessons that can be learnt from the Earth’s history. \nSession 4: Planetary Science: Extraterrestrial Environments and Terrestrial Analogs \nWe invite contributions related to planetary science\, including studies of surface and interior processes and environments\, and their terrestrial analogs. DESCRIPTION:Resiliency I-Corps Workshop In these unprecedented times\, there has been a strong focus on innovations that are considered resilient. Do you have resilient technology\, or are you conducting research that’s considered to be resilient? Would you like to understand what it takes to commercialize your research so that the greater good can benefit? We can help. \nThe University of Texas San Antonio’s Office of Commercialization and Innovation is deploying an innovative lean startup experience for entrepreneurial minded teams in San Antonio under the name PROVE-ENDURE ( PROgram for Virtual Entrepreneurship via ENtrepreneurship Driven University-wide Research Enterprise). \nTeams will engage in an Official NSF I-Corps Regional Program focused on examining their “Resilient” technological innovation for product-market fit.  The objective of this course is to provide teams with an introduction to Lean Launchpad methodologies and quickly advance the commercialization opportunity. We can help. \nThe University of Texas San Antonio’s Office of Commercialization and Innovation is deploying an innovative lean startup experience for entrepreneurial minded teams in San Antonio under the name PROVE-ENDURE ( PROgram for Virtual Entrepreneurship via ENtrepreneurship Driven University-wide Research Enterprise). \nTeams will engage in an Official NSF I-Corps Regional Program focused on examining their “Resilient” technological innovation for product-market fit.  The objective of this course is to provide teams with an introduction to Lean Launchpad methodologies and quickly advance the commercialization opportunity.
