SUMMARY:NSF CAREER Information Session
DESCRIPTION:The National Science Foundation CAREER program offers NSF’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty should build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.   \n   \nAt UTSA\, the NSF CAREER program is part of the Targeted Scholarly Awards initiative\, with the Office of Faculty Research Development leading proposal development support for all CAREER PIs. We are excited to invite you to an upcoming brief information session about the NSF CAREER program\, where we will review valuable resources and provide guidance to support your proposal development at UTSA. Whether you’re new to the program or looking for insights to strengthen your submission\, this short informational session is designed to help you navigate the process successfully.  \nPresented By: Marissa Mexquitic\, Research Program Coordinator\, Faculty Research Development Register for this eventView more information

SUMMARY:Beyond the Hype: How to Responsibly Leverage GenAI to Help with Your Research
DESCRIPTION:GenAI is everywhere. It can stir mixed feelings of awe\, excitement\, skepticism\, and more. Researchers are already using GenAI to automate their workflows. New GenAI tools – both free and commercial – advertise tantalizing capabilities\, but are they right for you? What questions and concerns should a researcher consider when selecting and using a GenAI tool? We’ll discuss some of these questions and demo several GenAI tools being used in the academic research workflow. \nPresented By: Posie Aagaard\, Associate Vice Provost for Scholarly Resources\, UTSA Libraries\n Flyer_Beyond the Hype \nView the Event FlyerRegister for this eventView more information
