SUMMARY:Listen to your Body: Using Biofeedback to Reduce Stress
DESCRIPTION:Stress levels among faculty and students are a growing concern. Biofeedback shows participants how their body is reacting to stress and teaches how to regulate emotions\, and move into a calm and focused zone. Over time and practice people can change how they respond to stress. This demonstration shows how biofeedback is utilized at the University of Texas San Antonio’s Counseling Services. As the number of people requesting services rise\, this resource can be used independently and empowers clients to train themselves towards resiliency \nRegister for this eventPresented By: Teaching and Learning Services and UTSA Counseling Services Susan Denny\, M.S.\, LPC\, BCN Specialist ClinicianSusan Denny\, M.S.\, LPC\, BCN (Board Certified in Neurofeedback\, Associate Fellow)\nBiofeedback Coordinator and Specialist Clinician at the University of Texas San Antonio Counseling Services
