When it comes to selecting instructional strategies for your course, there are a number of variables to consider including class size, learning outcomes, and time. Deciding whether to teach synchronously or asynchronously will determine which instructional strategies you should employ to keep your students engaged and accomplish your learning outcomes. “How” you deliver content may change, but “what” students are learning does not have to change. In this event, we will discuss the difference between synchronous and asynchronous teaching and explore how to implement strategies that will enable your students to learn effectively and be successful in the virtual or face-to-face classroom.
