Romo Endowed Professor Kirsten Gardner will host a workshop and discussion featuring guest speaker Dr. Roberto P. Treviño, MD, Executive Director of the Social and Health Research Center Inc. The conversation will explore diabetes through the lens of science, history, and ways of knowing. The program will be interactive with the goal of inviting the audience to engage with knowledge and challenges in treating diabetes. Attendees will also gain practical tools and strategies for effectively teaching students, colleagues, and their communities about the complexities and impact of this devastating disease.
