Creating Connections and Campus-Like Experiences in the Digital Classroom
Part of the Summer Digital Teaching Forum Series
Face-to-face classrooms are where student connections and a sense of belonging may emerge, and friendships flourish. Similarly, faculty are missing that same in-person exchanges and discussions where those amazing “aha!” moments happen. By promoting interaction between students and you, it’s possible to create that sense of community and connection to campus.
In this forum, panelists will discuss how they have incorporated strategies and assessments to provide opportunities to build bonds and belonging while we continue to teach and work remotely. An open forum for questions and answers will follow.
Presenters:
- Ryan McPherson, Communication
- Kimberly Massaro, Management Science & Statistics
- Tara Schmidt, UTSA Libraries
