As part of the Generative AI series, this workshop will explore the power of using ChatGPT within a mathematics course to help students explore the tool while learning how to “”fact check”” and interpret their results.
By attending this course, participants will be able to:
1. Explore a variety of teaching strategies that can be used to engage students in mathematics using AI miscalculations.
2. Evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of using AI in mathematics education.
3. Discuss the ways in which AI can enhance student learning and engagement, as well as the risks associated with relying too heavily on AI for mathematical calculations.
