The K-12 environment can be a valuable resource for researchers. School data can provide an alternative to national data sets; data, along with volunteer participants, can be leveraged for research studies. In turn, schools benefit from expert guidance and the introduction of new concepts and strategies to students and teachers.
Often required by funding agencies, K-12 schools can help researchers meet their goals by providing an opportunity to interact with new audiences. This will be an opportunity for researchers and educators to discuss mutual opportunities and needs, and plan for possible collaborations.
