Research shows that 50 percent of faculty still use lecture as a primary means of instruction, particularly in large classes. Effective lecturing can make classes interesting, engaging, and active. This workshop presents techniques for gaining and keeping interest, organizing information for learning, and actively engaging students with the material. Participants will leave with resources that can be used to develop their skills as lectures and public speakers. There are three sessions to choose from: Main campus (bring your lunch), Downtown campus and online using Skype for Business.
