Reclaiming the Joy of (No Foolin’!) Grading
Hosted by UT Permian Basin
Presenter:
- Clark Moreland, Director of the Heimmermann Center for Engaged Teaching
In a season of upheaval and uncertainty concerning the role grades play in student learning, it is understandable for college teachers to view grading as a wearisome and unfulfilling part of their work.
This session will offer participants timely, just, and evidence-based strategies for finding joy in the assessment of student learning. Participants will also discover the importance of developing healthy boundaries and self-care practices for preserving joy during the busiest moments of an academic term.
