As part of the UT System’s ongoing work to build momentum on OER, UT System is hosting a webinar on the topic of OER in Tenure and Promotion, to be held on Thursday, February 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT.  The webinar will feature Amanda Coolidge, Director of Open Education at BCcampus in British Columbia, and Andrew McKinney, OER Coordinator at CUNY, the City University of New York.  They are the authors of the DOERS3 OER in Tenure and Promotion Contributions Matrix, an adaptable advisory model to help guide faculty to include their OER work in their tenure and promotion portfolios.

Recognizing the contributions by instructors who create and improve OER as part of their professional work is a critical part of sustaining OER in higher education, and Amanda and Andy will walk webinar participants through the matrix with time for questions and discussion.

The webinar will be of interest to not only faculty but also P & T committees, department chairs and others who make promotion decisions, as well as library directors, instructional designers, and others working to advance OER engagement across the UT System.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
