Space Policies

The purpose of the Faculty Center is to support faculty to help them succeed in their scholarly and academic pursuits. The Center is collaboratively managed by the following partner offices:  UTSA Libraries, UTSA Research and the Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Support. These offices may schedule meetings or events in the Faculty Center and JPL Assembly Room as needed throughout the year.

All events may begin one hour after the library opens and must conclude one hour before the library closes, unless other arrangements have been pre-approved in advance.

Faculty Center Meeting Rooms (4.04.12A, 4.04.12F, 4.04.16A, 4.04.16B, & 4.04.12E)

Faculty Center meetings rooms are for faculty-led and faculty-focused meetings. Rooms may be reserved by faculty (or their designees). Room reservations may be submitted for the current semester or for the following semester as follows: 7/1 for the Fall, 11/1 for the Spring and 3/1 for the Summer semester. Requests are accepted and reviewed in the order received. *If the open reservation date falls on a weekend, holiday, or university closure date, reservations will be processed on the next business day.

Faculty Center Large Conference Room (4.04.12C)

The Faculty Center Large Conference Room is intended for faculty meetings, workshops and presentations. Rooms may be reserved by faculty (or their designees). Room reservations may be submitted for the current semester or for the following semester as follows: 7/1 for the Fall, 11/1 for the Spring and 3/1 for the Summer semester. Requests are accepted and reviewed in the order received. *If the open reservation date falls on a weekend, holiday, or university closure date, reservations will be processed on the next business day.

Faculty Center Small Conference Room (4.04.12D)

The Faculty Center Small Conference Room may be reserved for faculty meetings, workshops, training, and group sessions. Rooms may be reserved by faculty (or their designees). Room reservations may be submitted for the current semester or for the following semester as follows: 7/1 for the Fall, 11/1 for the Spring and 3/1 for the Summer semester. Requests are accepted and reviewed in the order received. *If the open reservation date falls on a weekend, holiday, or university closure date, reservations will be processed on the next business day.

JPL Assembly Room (4.04.22)

The purpose of the JPL Assembly Room is for academic events intended to draw university-wide and community-wide audiences.

Scheduling priority is given to meetings/events sponsored by the Faculty Center partner offices (UTSA Libraries, UTSA Research and the Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Support) as well as the office of the President and Provost.  These offices may reserve the JPL Assembly Room throughout the year.

In addition, the JPL Assembly Room may be reserved for academic/educational meetings and events hosted by colleges, academic departments, and other UTSA academic offices.  These groups may reserve the JPL Assembly Room for the current semester or for the following semester as follows: 7/1 for the Fall, 11/1 for the Spring and 3/1 for the Summer semester. Requests are accepted and reviewed in the order received. *If the open reservation date falls on a weekend, holiday, or university closure date, reservations will be processed on the next business day.

Student Organization meetings and events should reserve space in the UTSA Student Union.
